Time to make just a few phone calls per GRNC:

Republican Senate Leaders are Stonewalling!
Republican Senate Leaders are stonewalling on HB746 (Constitutional Carry and more). They are taking gun right voters for granted, and actively refusing to move this important bill. They have gone as far as kicking a GRNC volunteer out of a Senate meeting in effort to stifle the people's right to petition and redress their government. We cannot allow them to do this!

As soon as possible (immediately is best), please call the three Senators listed below, and give them this message:

"I'm a gun rights voter, and I'm calling to demand that Senate Republicans stop stonewalling on the gun bill, HB746. Move it now. Nothing else is acceptable, and there will be political consequences for failure."

Sen. Berger (919-733-5708)
Sen. Rabon (919-733-5963)
Sen. Brown (919-715-3034)

Won't take but a couple of minutes and might make a huge difference on whether or not North Carolina gets Constitutional Carry.

It must be having some effect because I just called and the aides are getting pissed. I said that I'm not happy with the stonewalling and she started arguing with me that they weren't. I said that perceptions become reality and she said, "ok, fine, I'll pass the message".

Edit to add, called another one and was told that it will be taken up before the end of the session.

I got the same response - Said the budget is the priority right now - I asked if HB746 was not a priority...She said "I didnt say that"

I'll bet that if someone started shooting at THEM, that shit would stop real quick!!!

Anything the Senate does seems like useless posturing if the House does not have the 7-8 extra votes needed to override a veto.

But we won't know that until the Senate does pass the bill. It was easy for those holdouts in the House to take the stance they did because their votes were irrelevant to the bill passing the House. If Senate passes, then we're looking at the veto override, and then those votes will matter. So taking the same stand becomes higher stakes for them.

Also, once we get to veto override stage (i.e., 4th and goal with inches to go), it will be easier to marshal many more gun owners to applying pressure on these holdouts.

OMG you guys are advocating for violence against a duly elected government official......in an open forum no less:eek:

(I'll bring the propane to heat the tar guys).
No, we're advocating for change in our government! There's a difference. The violence is only for the ones who won't change, which is about 100% of them.

Just make sure you remember this discussion when you win the commissioner's race.
We have one female commissioner here in Catawba County that thinks everyone who works for county government should bow down to her! If she has a friend in the county hospital, she calls the director to get better (and cheaper) service for them! Makes county employees lives miserable! That kind of crap needs to stop!

Yeah but even if they don't overide the veto, there may be no consequence. They will still be the lesser evil we are told we must vote for. This is why moderate pressure sometimes doesn't work. We are going to need a ton of political pressure on them, and actually follow through with a promise to campaign against them should they not vote for liberty.

Oh, I agree with you. It's a real problem that many of them have come to act with impunity and believe that they rule rather than represent. They're the ones making the choice that dictates The People's actions. I have said and referred to them as thugs and bullies and if you take an honest look at it, they're really no different than street thugs committing armed robbery.

I got some rope & skinning knives. Is that what you have in mind?

I can bring some hot tar and a bag full of feathers! Where are we meeting at!?
Spreader bar and speculum will make it easier to pour that hot tar down their @sshole. Zip tie that bag of feathers over their head afterwards.

All of these will work.

You're absolutely right. The only difference is that they hide behind the laws that they create and force on the rest of us. Laws created, often times, to improve their own situation with little regard to the people they claim to represent.

Kind of reminds me in a lot of what I read about the actions of the British government leading up to the war for independence.

I'm sure the email I sent to the Repug senators yesterday saying gun carry is s RIGHT not a permission or privilege granted by the state went over real well too.

I've had the exact same thought passing through my head a lot lately. The one that follows it is a fear that there aren't enough people left willing to fight for true freedom. Freedom involves responsibility and people don't want the responsibility.

You're right. I hate to admit it, but you are. The extension of this is that those who wish to, don't even have the option because the "rulers" are demanding that we be their subjects. This is also why I am afraid that the political process won't work as a means of restoring freedom; there are simply too many who will choose convenience, compliance, or apathy. In reality, it's likely even worse because many people have been brainwashed since their earliest days to believe in the righteousness and necessity for some external "authority" to exist.

As was pointed out (in another ?) the only thing the stinking Till-hole cares about is power, power over other people.

Whaaaaaatttt? The GOP stonewalling on guns?

I......I just don't understand.

They're the small government party that believes in the Constitution.

I mean, they promised.

They did the same shit with 650 - and it took multiple calls by everyone for weeks until Berger and company moved on it.

They're using our Rights to haggle over other bullshit they want, because it ain't about us, it's about them.

Make no mistake - you only have as much Freedom as you're willing to seize and exercise. Governments don't make men free - men do. Begging those corrupt jackasses to give us a little bit of our Rights back is not the action of a Free People.

To the powers that be, we're all just slaves on the Tax Plantation. Our letters, emails and calls are nothing more the begging the Master to be a little compassionate.
