So get a CHP - issue solvedWell bless our elected leaders hearts!!
Seriously we need to get HB746 passed in the 2018 session, its so ridicules that I can get arrested if my jacket or shirt covers my open carry pistol by accident and some crazy LEO decides to make an issue out of it just because he doesnt like the way I look....now dont get me wrong, most of our LEO’s are good guys, but like in every profession there are assholes, and I have met a couple.

He already has one, it's called the 2A.So get a CHP - issue solved
That will do him a lot of good if he is charged. Be realisticHe already has one, it's called the 2A.
The NC Sheriff's Association is not a gun owners friend. Very few of the Sheriffs in NC are truly supportive of the 2A. It's all about the power and hubris of the office and making good on the good ol'boy politics, greasing hands and fattening wallets of a few.
I've often thought the 100 sheriffs of the state have far too much power and far too little scrutiny pointed towards them.
They may not legislate, however they have an incredible amount of influence over legislation and legislators. The Sheriffs Association has been a major stumbling block regarding passage of HB-746 and numerous attempts at ending the current statewide handgun purchase permit system.
What is it said about gov't?
Once a power is given to gov't, the gov't will never relinquish it.
It would be interesting to see which county sheriffs are pro, which are con and which are neutral, our individual opinions of their firearms support notwithstanding. They do not make the laws in the state, that is not their function. Their job is to enforce the law as written, whether we like the law or not. I've a gut feel from discussions with deputies around the state that we could be surprised at how pro gun many really are.

And as I've said before: one has to wonder how much of their behavior is based upon a fundamental belief in the righteousness of their actions versus it being a paycheck. I guarantee you if it is the latter their willingness to risk their lives to attempt a confiscation will be quite low once the people, who are defending their inherent rights and way of life, start actively resisting.100% correct. Which is why if any gun ban is passed you cannot count on LEOs to do the “right thing” at confiscation time. After all, they are “just following orders.”
How many people would actually stand up and fight against something like that. And as I've said before: one has to wonder how much of their behavior is based upon a fundamental belief in the righteousness of their actions versus it being a paycheck. I was reading on another forum yesterday and saw a comment in response to the Libtards saying we need to take Australia's approwch to "gun violence". The response (including the profanity) was, "Americans aren't gong to give up their guns just because a bunch of fvcking liberals want them to."
Let me put it this way. I've already made my rudimentary plan in that if this nation gets to that point, I won't be living in an urban or suburban environment. With that in mind, let's just say that "law dogs" thinking their coming for us or our property wouldn't even get to the front door. Their power is based largely on the idea that people believe in and will respect their "authority". That won't be an issue for me.How many people would actually stand up and fight against something like that.
I don't think so. I think they would spark civil war 2.0, which would be largely a guerrila one.If they kill the first few resisters hard enough, the rest fall in line.
Has anyone heard that the Union County Sheriff has declared the he's gonna allow only 15 round mags & nothing over? If caught with anything over it will be a misdemeanor. I know he refused to sign off on suppressors.
Sounds like a great way for him to get his butt impeached too.Not sure how he’s going to enforce that. Seems like a good way to get paid if arrested for those laws he came up with.
Supposedly he sent this decree in an email. I didn't get the email. Nor do I intend to obey any such jibber jabber. Not sure how he’s going to enforce that. Seems like a good way to get paid if arrested for those laws he came up with.

So I'm traversing his county from one where >15 are legal to another, within a state where <15 are PERFECTLY legal...and he does what?????
Mine was in the spam folder along with an invitation to share half a bazillion dollars from a prince in Ghana.Supposedly he sent this decree in an email. I didn't get the email. Nor do I intend to obey any such jibber jabber.
Why do you think it's named "Union" County?Sounds like a great way for him to get his butt impeached too.
Which line? I would think active action against "innocent" people would start a war. But, that's where the line gets blurry
