Its against the law in NC to carry a firearm in any setting that charges an admission, whether concealed or not. not to mention it is prohibited on state owned property as well. And as a former LEO of wake county SO, they will ask you to return it to your vehicle, no arrest will be made unless you refuse to do so. Knives are typically collected and placed in a basket and brought to the LEO building for pickup when you leave, but don’t bet on getting it back. Some officers have been known to keep them.

Who exactly is the godless commie? LEOs don’t write the laws. And are under tremendous pressure in most cases to enforce them whether they agree with them or not.

And I’m not preaching communism. All gun control is an infringement on our natural rights and i spent 7 years of my life in our armed forces in honor of defending those rights.

Just trying to help inform a fellow member to the best of my ability so that they aren’t greeted with an awkward situation if they were to try and bring a firearm into the state fairgrounds. Safe>sorry.

You might think “laws are trash”, and although i mostly agree, most of us walk the line. We do the paperwork, buy the permits, get the training. Other wise we risk arrest, jail, imprisonment, litigation, fees and fines. Communicating with one another as gun owners and making sure we can all stay out of jail long enough to vote these idiots out of office is how we win, not by thinking youre rebellious cause you carry your gun in walmart even though they dont allow it.

So, can an admin explain what happened re DismountedGunner so I don’t make the same mistake? His info was wrong and he was not the apologetic type, but there must have been something else. He was around for over a year and 13 good transactions, what happened?

I had noted that, in an earlier post (#55), he confused CCW with CHP ... seemed an odd thing to do for a former LEO, especially in a post supposedly highlighting his credentials.

Under what authority do you tell people they can't carry guns, now that you know the law doesn't give that power to the fair grounds?
