Need prayers for a friend’s son and girl friend

A friends stepson and his girlfriend was involved in an auto accident in VA a few days ago.
They were traveling on a highway, someone crossed the center lane and ended upside down on their car trapping both of them.
His leg is shattered and she is in worse shape with a broken back and will be paralyzed from the waist down — if she lives.
The guy in the other car ran away and we don’t know if they have identified him.
 
Prayers sent for them and their families.

Holy cow, I feel so bad for the woman, her life is tremendously changed forefver now. Terrible.

Thank you for your prayers. There is no change in their condition, but we have more information about the accident.

It happened on route 81/64 in Fairfield VA and there were 3 vehicles involved. A lady on drugs hit a car and sent it into the oncoming lane. It ended upside down on our friends car. Two people in the upside down car were killed And the drugged lady drove way. The police now have her in custody, and she will most likely be charged with 2 counts of vehicular homicide - or something like that.

IN MY BOOK when a driver kills someone (in their vehicle, another vehicle, on the sidewalk, etc) while driving under the influence or alcohol, drugs, etc should not be a vehicular homicide charge … thats toooooooo light … the average vehicular homicide sentence is like 7-8 years. THERE IS NO FREAKIN’ EXCUSE!

Prayers for all of the victims.
 
We are learning more as the stepmom begins to get out of panic mode and PTSD.
She is a great person but was severely abused by her first husband and has a problem with stress.

The accident actually happened on Rt 95 in Spotsylvania County VA about half way between DC and Richmond.
everything else is pretty much the same… 2 dead.. etc.
the 48 YO woman Wendy Gudiness from Ruther Glen VA that caused the accident is in jail ”pending charges”

sorry for continuing to talk about this - the stepmom is a close friend that my wife - a domestic violence specialist- help thru a very tough time. Because of the help, the step-moms whole family have become very good friends.
