He was a gun guy, a good dude….would do anything he could for anybody.

His wife, Jo, called me around 8:45 this morning, frantic and crying…said he had fell in the shower and wasn’t responsive. Went over there, found him lying in the shower…not breathing, no pulse. Did CPR until Clemmons Fire and FCEMS got there and took over. Once I saw them bring an empty stretcher back out to the unit and everybody except EMS cleared the scene, I knew it wasn’t good…seen that movie before.

Both of them are ‘salt of the earth’ folks and you could tell they were each other’s rock. Understandably, she’s beside herself right now.

If ya’ll will, be praying/thinking of her and his kids. I think they live out of state and are on their way here.

So sad to hear.

And I hate you had to be a witness to it.

Very sad. I’m sure it was very traumatic for you having to give assistance. I want a neighbor like you.

Prayers for his wife. Have the determined yet what happened?

Don’t know.

My guess is a MI…he has a history.

Just talked to him yesterday evening. He was out in his garage doing some woodworking.

You a good egg, Gribble.

So sorry for you to lose a good neighbor like that, and a prayer for his wife and family.

Prayers sent for all involved.

Thanks for being there.

You did all that you could do. Sorry for his family and you.

Hard news. You're a good man to be there for his wife and do all you could.

Good on you for trying Shane. Sorry for your loss and for your neighbors family

They are all in my thoughts along with you. Kudos being the one they could call on for help. That speaks mountains on your character.

Prayers for the family and thank you for being a caring/responsive neighbor who the wife could trust to call upon. I sincerely appreciate you honoring him also by describing his good character on here.

Friends are a good thing to have in life. And you have proven that today inside your deceased neighbor's home and on here inside our online home.

Condolences to the family and prayers for all involved.

Very sad. Rest In Peace.
Lord God, give the family and friends the strength they need to deal with their grief.

i see two things here, over and over.

One, the prayers for the family and all involved. that is a woinderful and powerful thing. I mentioned yesterday in my sermon, prayer is an irresitable force. If I rite you a letter, call on the phone, knock on your door, send and email, you can ignore that, not answer and so forth. If we are praying for folks, there is nothing they can do about that. My point, we need to pray more. and I am thankful for you guys who do.

Second, having folks you can count on, whenever is essential. There are far too many people who have no one, no family, no friends, no body. That is break my heart sad. But folks like you, who are there and willing to lend a hand, are what makes this country, our communities great. We need more folks who will get involved.

Prayers for the family and friends, and let us continue to help those we can

Prayers for the family and especially the wife.

The Bible tells us that the Lord keeps our prayers in bowls surrounding the throne and they are a sweet smelling insence.

Our Father wants to hear from us.

Christ told us we have not because we ask not.

Paul to us to pray without ceasing.

Christ told of the widow woman who kept going to the king saying King hear my plea.

Prayer changes things. You can count on it.

Lastly if a woman is praying for a man to give his life to the Lord, that man has a target on his back. It may take some time, I'm talking years, but I have seen men like that come to know the Lord.

I pray that this woman who lost her husband finds peace in the word and arms of the Lord. Amen

I’m sorry to read about this. I am a volunteer fireman in the Vienna district (we back up Clemmons sometimes) and heard the call. I’m not an EMT, so don’t usually respond to medical calls, but I think my daughter was on duty then- I wonder if she was there.
