Not going to lie. This Christmas was pretty high up on the list of greatest gifts ever. My wife ( who is normally against spending money on firearms) surprised me with two great gifts this year.

First off was a Standard Mfg. DP-12 double barrel bullpup pump shotgun. Let me tell you guys, this is a lot of shotgun in a really small package. 16 round capacity and chambered for 2.75"and 3" shells. It is now my go to home defense weapon. We live in a tightly packed subdivision where I have neighbors roughly 10 feet away on either side. I have always been skittish about firing a pistol or rifle in my home due to the proximity of my neighbors. This shotgun with small shot like 7 to 8 shot would definitely vacate the premisis but be much safer for neighbors. Super stoked about this gift.20231226_111316.jpg

Next up is a Mantis X marksmanship trainer. I've heard of these but until now didn't know much about them. Very impressed with all of the training courses and categories you can work on either dry firing or with live ammo. It even has army and USMC qualification courses built in. Loving this item so much. It's fun to use while watching TV during commercials. I can see real benefits from the coaching it gives you. If you make a bad shot it tells you what caused it to be bad and how to fix it. My trigger pull/control has already improved a bunch in just the last few days since receiving it.

Hope all of you had a great Christmas. I know I did.
