Bought a Remington 700 in 300blk from another member.
Verified the barrel is 1:7 twist. So now to figure out what scope and work out some loads.

Congrats.
I built one from a 700 stripped receiver and AAC model 7 16" light barrel ($99) over the winter and used parts and pieces in the junk box to finish it off. I've named it "Junk box" since it has a used Hogue stock, used timney trigger, and rings (which are too high but I'm too cheap to get new lower rings) and a scope from a previous build. I did put on a Legacy Sports bottom mag kit ($70). It works ok with the 300blk but still tweaking it some for the fat bullets. With a can it is pretty quiet. That 1:7 is best for the heavier bullets.
For a scope, Burris C4 3x9 with target dials has worked for me and recommend one with graduations on the reticle. I can zero it in for subs but also know where to aim quickly if using supers.
