New Translucent PMAGs

Looks like this has been a long time coming. Here's a vid from 15 years ago.:

And here's the announcement vid.

Reminds me of the Polish Grot rifle magazine.

Nice! I'm a huge fan of Lancers just because they're translucent and round count can be easily checked.

It'll be nice to have another option on the market that should actually be reliable (looking at you ETS)

"made the sides completely smooth" does not seem like a feature to me. Wet, muddy, etc. I'd like having some more aggressive texture to hold on to.

I'm a huge fan of Lancers. Translucent, steel feed lips, durable...

So just as durable as the pmags but in a clear olive finish and extra grippy bass. Let me know when they're $7.99 and I'll buy a few.
With a $24 msrp, I bet street price is more in line with Lancers, around $16.

I’ll probably wait a year or so then grab a couple. I don’t see myself moving away from Gen2 Pmags as my primary mag. Under $10 and never had an issue with them. I’d buy these just to have some variety.

I just don’t like the fact of everyone else seeing what I got left in the mag…

Just what I'm sure the OpFor is doing during a fight..."Hey...that guy's clear mag only has 5 rounds left! Get 'em!!"

I’m surprised lancer didn’t have translucent mags patented

I'll keep my Lancers........

The translucent ones I have, have been lightly misted with black paint, and masked in certain places so round count is still visible, but not advertised to the world

Kalashnikov USA has some windowed mags that just show the bullets in the mag and not the mags guts like the spring and all. I think I like the idea.

Agreed, the smooth sides do not seem to be conducive to solid magazine changes in harsh environments.

Yeah but they'll be great for the gear-queen instagram and reddit photoshoots, and that's who's buying most of them after all.

To each his own. But I’m not the only one who has made this comment either…
That’s true, but let me ask you (and I guess the others who share your opinion) this. Do you honestly think if you were in a gunfight, that whoever you’re fighting would, A) even notice your mag was translucent, and B) be able to tell how many rounds you have left???

If an enemy is close enough to count rounds in your translucent mag, you’re probably dead already.

My own choice. I also am not looking to be in a gunfight. But when in a parlay, not knowing what the other person has in the hole can be a deterrence in of itself.
There’s really no debate to be made here…it’s a matter of choice.

I seriously doubt that I’d even be looking at my magazine.

TMags -
- because light-colored polymer isn't strong enough but transparent polymer apparently is
- when a discrete window is inadequate and you have to see your ammo from every angle
- $23.95 mags generate a third more revenue -and presumably profits- than $17.95 mags

Makes it easier to asses the battle field pick ups.

"Don't bother...that dead dude's mag is empty...."

So, there IS a valid use case for translucent mags in *my* world. When going into a stage (3 gun, RnG, ehatever), it's good to know if I'm likely going to clear (ha!) the stage with the mag in hand or if I need to swap out before the buzzer.

You don't have your caddy refresh all your mags after each stage? What sort of half-baked matches are you attending?

Similar but the window is as wide as the cartridge and you don't see the springs.
