Got this from the Russian store and didn't feel much like cooking. It's a pre cooked coarse ground pork meatloaf in a can and it was bloody delicious. Says serve cold so I did and I agree.

Think the best elements of barbecue pork and meatloaf all together. I am going to grab a couple more cans of this next time I hit the Russian store.

I read a review on that stuff. The ingredient list was impressive and not fake preservatives and it sounded good but then they said it smelled like tuna and the salt content was unreal but no fat and no carbs so….put it with the right starches on a plate I bet it would be good. The reviewer said his cats loved it! Hahaha! Bon Appetit!

Probably laden with salt but this one smelled like my good meatloaf not tuna. There was a good bit of jelly to keep it moist but it came right off and left a really good coarse meatloaf.

That’s good. Tuna doesn’t smell like tuna if it’s good so I hoped pork didn’t! It sounds like a polish version of spam or Vienna sausages or the like. Hot sauce and saltines and it’s a meal when you’re in a hurry. I’ve eaten many meals when on a tractor like that.

I believe their background is actually Polish. Regardless, the selection is fascinating.

I was introduced to it as the Russian store so I've always called it that. They have a lot of great stuff.

Maybe I'm a snob but if meat comes packed in a can AND you have to "scrape the jelly off" I think I'd rather eat a bowl of cereal. 🤮
Some of us don’t scrape off the jelly. 🤓

So, does this mean you're one who trims all the fat off a steak, too?

😉

Think of it as meat flavored jello. Slurp it up with a straw. If you do it right you never feel it hit your tongue. Goes straight from the straw to your gullet. 😶

Lot of "practice" there, I take it?

Retired naval SNCO with lots of sea duty, then you know what I'm talking about.😘

Really though, I spent a few years in the Army so I learned to eat without tasting it. Its a skillset that took a while to learn. Thankfully, that skillset is very rusty.
