Anyone have experience using Nomad aftermarket Glock frames or their parts kits? I've been wanting a 45 MOS for a while but am considering getting this Nomad 9x frame, parts kit, and trying to find a used OEM MOS 19 slide.

I've never used any aftermarket Glock frames or parts with the exception of slide release and mag release.

I have a Nomad9 frame with magwell that I built up with a generic G19 clone slide (MDX I think). The gun feels great in hand but I can’t seem to get it running reliably. Various malfunctions and slide doesn’t lock back on an empty (GLock OEM) mag.

I want to love the gun but, I don’t trust it : (

That's kind of what I'm afraid of...I saw a used Glock 47 MOS local to me I may get instead. The frames look really nice but IDK if I'd ever fully trust it either.

The Nomad frames are relatively inexpensive. I haven’t tried mine with an OEM GLock slide, that might clear the issue up (it could very well be my cheapo slide). If you have a GLock already you might try that slide on the Nomad frame first.

The Nomad feels really good in your hand.

Well, I ended up snagging the G47, and now I'm eyeballing a G45 I just saw posted... No plan to pickup the Nomad frame anymore but I'll stick it in my back pocket. If I ever see one locally I'll snag it.

If you have the G47, you could just pick up a G19MOS and that would give you the ability to configure it in multiple ways. G47/17, G19, G45, G49. If you aren’t interested in the G49 configuration, you could achieve the rest with just a G19MOS slide.

Im digging that trigger guard on the nomad. The one used on p80's is what kept me away from em.

I picked up a Nomad frame and used most of the OEM parts from my 45 MOS. Started with an Overwatch Precision trigger and the striker engagement was terrible, switched it over to a GPT and it's been perfect ever since. I have 500 rounds through it so at this point I trust it. Frame feels great in the hand, no slide bite anymore and I can actually reach the trigger properly (big hands but short fingers).

Biggest gripe is holster compatibility, the trigger guard is different so it doesn't fit any of my kydex G19 holsters. It does however work great in my Safariland ALS which is where it currently lives for HD duty.
