The wife and I are trying to bolster our preps with stuff that we'll actually eat in non-emergency situations as to make it easier to rotate and not waste food. She's not interested in eating 20 year shelf life meals or MREs or anything so we're always on the lookout for compromise items.

This Bear Creek dry soup mix from Harris Teeter is pretty good. She added some bacon to it and salt and pepper and it turned out well enough to actually want to eat all the time as part of our normal menu rotation.

We've got a few other flavors, hope they turn out as well as this one did.

That stuff is pretty good. We like it without bacon, but bacon certainly makes everything better.

Have tried it several times but everytime I served up a bowl, it would separate and go watery. Followed the receipe to the letter. Taste was good but
I just couldnt get past the separation.

We've tried the potato, it was pretty good if you help it a little.

Been enjoying that for years. Used to pick it up at Big Lots on occasion. Cheddar Broccoli is my favorite. I add frozen broccoli and add some ham chunks.
