Over the years I've had Glocks, replaced Glocks with XD's, had Glocks again, sold them, now, at age 61, I'm back in the game with Glocks (hey, they pair with PC carbines now!).
So now I currently have six...in three different calibers. They are all virtually the same size (unless you break out the micrometer)...as are the magazines.
So, due to these old eyes, I'm spending this morning with paint, rags, and acetone....highlighting the identifying markings on magazines and pistols, hoping that this will
eliminate the need to hunt for my reading glasses before trying to cram a 10mm mag into a 9mm pistol.
I remember doing this to my full size XD's when they first came out, but that was because highlighting was a trend back then....not a necessity!

I tried to put a 10MM magazine in a Glock 19 last range trip. I was surprised by how easily 15 rounds went into the magazine, then tried to stuff it into my 19 and... oops!

I crammed a 10mm mag full of 9mm the other day.

Get rid of 5 of them and buy some other stuff, variety. I have 1 Glock, carry it almost every day, then I have some other stuff. Why do you want 6 versions of the same gun?

Probably keep it simple and use a white paint pen. Write caliber size anywhere on the mag and caliber size under the trigger guard would be a simple way.

I use a Dymo label maker. I have G22 with a 9mm Lone Wolf Alpha barrel, I put 9MM label on the left side of the slide, same for my P229 that can run .357Sig or .40S&W when I swap out the barrels. On all my mags I have the caliber on the side of the magazines so it will not rub off when used in the pistols.

SHTF...wife gets one PC9 and two G19's (common magazines)...other PC9 and other two G19's go to me. The two G22's await a PC4 for pairing. Now, as of yesterday, the 7th...a G20 is because it's 10mm, and because I can. :)
If having multiples is a bad thing...then one look into my safes will prove without a doubt that I'm a bad bad boy, with a variety of multiples.

Youā€™re doing it wrong. Swap two of the G19 for G23 with 9mm threaded conversion barrels for even more versatility.
