Old Fort 3 Gun -7/31/21 - STAGE BRIEF POSTED

Will there be time in the morning to walk the stages and what not?

I'm having a tough time navigating Practiscore to find the stage brief. Can anybody link me to it?

I’m camping on site and will be up and about by 7. Registration at 0800, safety brief at 0830. If you want to come early, you can walk around. ROs will gone a walk through as you approach stages as well

I’m terrible with names. Introduce yourselves and tell me your screen name when you do.

Great event @Tim and thanks to all the sponsors! I had a blast my 1st event and will definitely be attending the next one if I can! Had fun with all my squad 2 peeps, you guy definitely made things a lot of fun haha.

Thanks to everyone who put this on and everyone on my squad who tolerated my complete lack of experience with 3 gun! Real eye opener and lots of fun.

Could one use shotgun speed loader tubes in the Tac Ops division or does stuff like that that automatically bump you up into Open?

(ahem): Ye Olde Men's Division

And now for something completely serious:

Someone (Hint: @Tim ) please clarify for me:

I've been reading a smidgen on 3-gun divisions, and I think I get (some of) it:

Shotgun - bead/rifle sights/ghost ring sight + Rifle - multi X scope (1-4x, 3-9x, etc) + Pistol - iron sights = Tac Ops; if one adds a RDS to the pistol, then 2 optics total = Open. Correct Incorrect (circle one)

Also, If one wants to enlarge the feed well on his shotgun and work on quad loads from a purpose-specific shell caddy, does this bump him up to open as well? I read something about "speed loaders" for shotguns doing so & am unclear on how different types of loading gear affect division classification.

Enlarging the feed well (i.e, opening the port) on a shotgun does not put you into Open. Shotgun speed loaders are like giant pez dispensers that you shove in the mag tube.

There are a number of different rule sets out there or Tac Ops, Practical, Open, Heavy etc. If the match you're attending is sanctioned by some governing body like 3 Gun Nation, then you'll want to pay attention to their rules.

Most matches, including Old Fort 3 Gun, are outlaw matches with our own definitions of rule sets. We decided on 2 simple divisions...Tac Ops and Open. Tac Ops includes tube fed shotgun without speed loaders, pistol may have an RDS without magnification and rifle can have 1 optic.

Open (at Old Fort) means anything else. Mostly this comes down to rifles with LPVO scope plus an offset RDS and detachable magazine shotguns.

Thanks for the info!

I like the video waiting in line behind it:

It's like they're not taking us seriously! :)

Seriously, though - that was impressive.
