I have a friend who I recently sort of ran back up with. My wife and I went out with he and his wife a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. We used to backpack, drag race and generally hang out back in the day and seem to have a lot of similar interests all throughout our lives.
I mentioned that I was a ham and we talked about some amateur radio topics and he is fairly knowledgeable about it. Seems he had an interest back a few years ago and read a great deal.
Long story short is he is studying the No Nonsense Study Guide and is going to take his exam soon.
