Only had it out twice...

Welcome to the obsession. We’ve got another hardcore AK guy here that we haven’t converted yet.

You need one of those slings made out of that paracord stuff.

You know anyone that can do that?

Two actually. I own and have owned ARs but I mostly see them as trade fodder or panic money raisers. I like the Barbie aspect way more than shooting them lol

Actually I am both. It's like choosing between children. I will say I currently own more AR pattern rifles than I do AK, but not by much. It's an advantage knowing the pros and cons of each platform. I am more confortable with the construction of the AR type rifle but I appreciate the good craftsmenship that is inherent in a com bloc AK. Contrary to popular belief, the AK can be a precision platform and I've had ARs that pattern like a shotgun.

Several ar but only one ak, like my AR better but enjoy using all.

My AR's feel like a race car compared to the very few AK's I have shot, which feel more jeeplike, for lack of a better analogy.

That said, I really want to own an AK. Would like one to shoot in 2gun matches.

I sold it after finding that out, wasn't sure how long it would hold up. Probably a long time no more than it would be shot, but couldn't put full trust in it. It did shoot well and was accurate though.
Main reason is because they use Green Mountain barrels that arent chrome lined. My Npap is damn accurate also due to a similar CHF non CL barrel.

I had an AK for years, and thought I loved it, until I got a chance to shoot an AR. Sold the AK years ago, and now I have a whole herd of AR's. I swear, the dang things multiply like rabbits.

Kept the SKS for sentimental reasons, but I get the itch to sell it now and again. :D

Same. Used to have a few. They look awesome, good fire power.. but I hated shooting it. I still kind of want another though. But I've got the sks I want to keep and want to sell at the same time

Well the AK is still cheaper to shoot, and you can outfit it pretty well with optics and furniture pretty well.
