Considering most attackers would be within 10 ft why not just use pepper spray? Or shoot them and then you can’t get sued.

My coworker has one. I don't know that he's put any rounds through it, but his wife has Parkinson's and they have several mischievous grandkids roaming the house daily, so he picked one up as a handgun alternative when it was on sale. I suppose it has a purpose, but it requires you to be as accurate as you would be with a handgun under duress. I think under that circumstance I'd rather have a can of bear spray.

I've got something similar but less expensive and I was shocked how hard it shoots a powder or rubber ball. I got it for dogs not people (I'm OK shooting a person, less so a dog) and I definitely wouldn't want to get shot with it.
