Has he lost his mind if he sells it? Has he lost his mind, if he can't get any more supply to resell and therefore goes out of business?
I agree. Academy still had ammo monday evening around 6 or 7. The line today didn't clear out until almost 10, with ammo left. Even some of the guys that resell are saying the market's getting soft and buying 5.56 @ .60/rd doesn't leave them much room to profit. He did basically offer me double for the 2k rounds of .22 I picked up. Of course, I said no.Not if it sells. LOL Honestly what I have seen in the last week tells me the tide is turning. I watched $500 cases of 9mm last longer today than I have seen in 6 months.

Maybe, unless PedoJoe outlasts his life expectancy estimates, and out pops a few more stupid eo’s that put guns and ammo in a bad spot. Stupid knows no boundary with politicians.
Has he though? To us, procurers of shooting supplies for a long time, it seems crazy, to the retailer it is a business decision. Supply drives prices when demand is high.Remanufactured 9 mm ammo for $45 per box of 50 rounds some new @$1.00 a round . All brands of reman priced the same. What a rip off
Executive Orders don’t require support from anyone initially. They start the panic cycle. Sheeple get skeered easily, and panic. It takes a good bit of time, money and effort to destroy an EO in Court, especially since most lower courts are Commie controlled. Congress is a joke, and has been for decades. RESIST is all the Commies know, and the Pubic hairs have yet to learn that lesson, showing how damn dumb they are. There is money to be made, or lost, over gun control issues, and all of these scumbags will sell Mommy to get some.
People are crazy to pay those prices . I for one will not . Shoot 22s let him sit on it a while . He will lower prices . Last shipment he price all 9 mm same whether it was steel case , reloaded ammo or fmj brass..Not if it sells. LOL Honestly what I have seen in the last week tells me the tide is turning. I watched $500 cases of 9mm last longer today than I have seen in 6 months.
I bought new today for $25 a box of 50.His window is closing. IMHO. Why would people buy reman for $45 a box when they can buy new for $30?
Is he gouging? Maybe not. He may have paid through the nose just to get inventory. I think the price of 9mm and 223/556 has peaked out and started to drop. The ones that will still demand a big price due to availability will be .380 and 38 Special, although I expect the availability to pick up on both of these now that 9mm is becoming available. With better availability comes better pricing. I'm loading up for the Charleston show tonight and I know there will be some 9mm at $10-20 a box cheaper than Myrtle Beach just 2 weeks ago. Dealers have been paying $30 a box to resell just because they couldn't get it anywhere but I expect to see a bunch this weekend for sale at $30 and maybe less.
I just ordered a case for 56cpr shipped. If it has peaked, I'm going to go broke buying it as the prices drop so I can get me some of that dollar cost averaging.
Dang it.
The retail price has reached the tipping point. Once you cannot flip ammo fast for a profit that buyer will leave the market. So many have panic buyers have consumed at high prices they are not in the position to buy. Once the product sits on the shelf long enough with tons of new orders coming in the prices will drop. The market is correcting itself. I always find the correction takes more time than the panic increase. I m predicting $300 cases of 9mm by the end of the year.
Averaged .27 a round? Good score.I was fortunate last Sunday evening at the hickory gun show. 10 minutes to 5 someone was unloading ammo cans to take in to sell. That late they wouldn't let him back in. I bought 3k pmc x-tac 5.56 and 3k pmc 9mm for every dollar I had in my pocket. $1620 so no $1 or even 50cpr for me
Obama was much more capable and popular and got ZERO done. What makes you think Sleepy Joe is going to seal the deal.
Same here ... but even before the C-19 and civil unrest panic David seemed to be slipping ... kinda around the opening of the brick and mortar store ... not just “local pickup” which I would make a run every month or so for. I hate it cause when David would get a good bulk deal he did have some great deals but with a brick and mortar store I almost think he slowed passing it on. Like you say maybe someday but I swear the number of compliments he use to get is now turned the number of complaints. He has lost a fair part of his reputation and getting it back is going to be an uphill battle with a lot of buyers.I was buying exclusively from outdoor limited for the last few years, even paying slightly more to support a local vendor.
now his email announcements just get deleted, don't even open them. maybe someday. not today. not tomorrow.
Write up a magic EO that stops importation of all ammo. Takes no agreement from anyone, and half the supply is now permanently gone. Until Tula opens a plant here, or PMC, or Armscor, or S&B, or Magtech, or.... probably forgetting half a dozen companies.
I am not a Constitutional Scholar but I do not believe that such an EO would hold up.
Clinton and Bush bans were within the scope of the ATF and regulation already passed by Congress IIRC. It was not an EO. It was a ruling by the ATF using an existing law. There is a nuanced difference.Doesn't have to, just like the crap in CA where some law is found to be unconstitutional but they get to keep enforcing it anyway until 'final appeal' which never happens. Meanwhile the bans stay in effect. So he EOs it, they stop it, someone sues, they get to keep the ban for 'public safety', it gets found unconstitutional, they appeal, gets found unconstitutional, they appeal, the supremes ignore it. There is a lot of history to show that works.
Or maybe he gets away with some 'no sporting purpose' thing like king Bush I and Clinton did. Easy to redefine anything you want. like the definition of "is".
CLINTON TO IMPOSE A BAN ON 58 TYPES OF IMPORTED GUNS (Published 1998)
Clinton Administration will announce permanent ban on imports of 58 types of military-style assault weapons, blocking entry of more than million high-powered guns into US; action follows 120-day review of import permit applications and foreign-made guns to determine whether weapons meet...www.nytimes.com

Either way I f do not see it happening via EO. I might be wrong. Only tone will tell.
We've lost rule of law, so my attitude is pretty crappy in general. they'll do whatever they want, don't see that changing anytime soon.
I have an item...I offer it for sale for a Price....how does that make me a bad guy? Really??? If somebody wants it, I'll sell it. If they don't, I'll keep it. How does any of this make me a bad guy???
Nobody in their right mind should be mad at anybody for trying to sell something. If you either don't like the price or don't have the money, that's on You. Move along........
People are mad because they have been brainwashed with socialism and they don't even know it. It was a slow process it takes time. They have no idea it even happened to them. The It's not fair that someone has something I want and they won't give it to me. I didn't prepare ahead of time now you need to give me what I feel like you have to much of mentality. It's not fair that you have something priced higher then what I'm willing to pay.I have an item...I offer it for sale for a Price....how does that make me a bad guy? Really??? I am not a Constitutional Scholar but I do not believe that such an EO would hold up. It would immediately be challenge by the Judiciary as being outside his authority. It does not mean he cannot do it but it would never take effect because a judge would stay the order pending review. There are a enough conservative Federal Judges that would be able to nullify the EO. At least this is how I understand EO to work.
After the last year you still have faith in Roberts and his court? Cause that’s where any substantial issues will end up.
I actually do, I do not think that Biden will get anything done on guns via EO. I also think that the crap show that is the country currently is going to eat up all the political will and energy he has. Right now there are much bigger fish to fry then guns and ammo. The Economy, COVID, Immigration, etc... are all taking precedence over guns right now.
I think you may underestimate the Communists’ desire for control and submission. But we shall see.
