I've watched a lot of his videos
He seems really knowledgeable though his style can be a little boring.
He's announced he has pancreatic Cancer
Hope all turns out well for him

I very much enjoy his channel and his wit. I think his diagnosis is one of those that should prompt a fellow to get his affairs in order and kiss his family every morning. He will be missed.

I enjoyed many of his videos, although he is a little monotone at times. I really hate hearing the diagnosis. As much as I hate to admit @Timfoilhat post says all that needs to be said.

You take that back, right now.

Jk but in all seriousness, Paul is practically the uncle I never had. I've obtained alot of knowledge from the basics of firearms to survival that no one else taught me or formatted in a plain, straightforward and digestible manner.

My grandfather passed in 2021 with the same diagnosis, It's not a easy road ahead of him. Not sure what the status of Paul's beliefs are, and I sort of appreciate him for that, but I hope to find him conducting chronograph tests in the beyond one day.

Hate hearing this. I enjoy his videos. In a world of tactical timmies and mall ninjas, he always seemed more realistic to me. But good on him for getting in front of the issue, as he always seems to do.

Damn. Thatā€™s definitely not a diagnosis you want. I hope he can somehow beat it or at least have the time he has left be peaceful & enjoyable. His videos are a wealth of knowledge & I have really enjoyed them.

While his info is great, his monotone delivery and tendency to ramble on and on had me quit watching his stuff a while back. I'm sure he'll be fine, he'll just talk the cancer to death.

sorry to learn about his diagnosis.
once found, pancreatic is usually
too far along. two people i knew
lasted less than a year.

Didn't want to start a new thread or this.

Paul hit 1 million subscribers today. It was an effort from people across the internet. Reddit, Youtube, even 4chan. Paul is probably the kind of dude who doesn't care but it's a nice gesture for the years of videos he's put out.

People are divided on yer Garand Fingers and yer Dinosaur Hands, but come together when it's Paul Harrell.

I unsubscribed from his channel a while back, because his delivery doesn't agree with me even if the content is excellent. Saw the message and subscribed again just for the numbers.

Didnā€™t he die not long after the video announcing his diagnosis? What July 2023 or so when he died from the cancer.

Just three weeks ago, a video was posted where Paul Harrell announced that he'd be likely reducing his contributions and (increasingly) turning over channel content to his brother, Roy.

I mean this in no way pejoratively to Roy or the other staff, but I wonder whether the channel can be successful without Paul since his personality and delivery were, for good or ill, so iconic.

Roy doesn't seem very suited to video presentation honestly. And the young dude with the man bun in his last video.... No thanks.

Yeah pancreatic cancer is like the Spanish Inquisition, unexpected and nobody survives it.

Sucks.

I hope he lasts long enough to get his affairs in order.

i have known Paul for years. really sad news for sure. i am glad that his channel made a million subscribers. i really do wish his brother luck, but he does not have
any of Paul's Carisma. Paul is in my prayers.

I gotta say, I watched a couple of Roy's videos and enjoyed them. He's not Paul (nobody is) but he was interesting to me and I plan to keep watching.
