Pics from Geezers farewell salute

Well, we know that the barrel can withstand a 3/4 pound 1F charge. Maybe next time take it to @Michael458 and let him hook it up and pressure test the loads. It might get a little smokey in there, though.
And there's the hitch, most of that was 3F. I only had about 3/4 lb of 2F.

That barrel is now well proofed. The weld between the cannon & carriage had a slight failure though. Note to self- a load of one lb 1F black powder will be the next test. I think it will be fine. Might be best to leave my car parked out front.
When you do that...kindly point the muzzle North. :D

Once again, thanks to @BatteryOaksBilly and @RS for hosting yet another fun and safe get together. The group shooting was something to see and hear.

I got to see some people that I hadn't seen in a while and got to meet a lot of new people. Thanks to all that took the time from their busy schedules to attend.

Never got to meet you but best of luck on your move. Looks like yall had a blast.

@Geezer Larry sorry I missed your big send off saturday looked like a grand time. But after being sick the week before last I didn't figure being outside was a good idea. I truly wish you the best on your new endeavor in TX. Take care my friend and God's Speed

I hate to brag, but my shooting was pretty awesome Saturday!
+ I got my hands on a lot of good stuff. lol. (Guns, ok?)

I think a lot of us were stunned at my improvement!
I will back you up Millie. You have improved immensely and shot really good Saturday.

Yup... it was. Didn't square with all that complainin' I remembered readin' jus'a few months ago. ;)
Well, I improved in that few months, I guess. I wish my original instructor could have seen, he'd have been proud!
PS how's your hat?

We're moving to a little town in east Texas, Silsbee. It's just north of Beaumont.

In the other picture was my wife, Joanne. Jeremy was so smooth my wife didn't even notice him hitting on me.

Ummm, just an observation...... Who sits in the chairs while the shootin is goin on?
That's our "time out" chairs.

Those are for when we simulate being a vehicle and having to shoot out of the driver's window.

If you've shot that carjacker drill you would know how practical of a training scenario that white lawn chair and junk car door really is. It opened my eyes.

Another life-saving drill compliments of the Battery Oaks to help others. @BatteryOaksBilly is the gift that keeps on giving.

Life is good……………….life is so very good.
