I've only been on here for about 2 days now. I can say already in those 2 days I've had more people offer help/ information. Then I have gotten anywhere else on the internet my entire life. I don't think the wife is too happy about how much time I spent on here (I heard about that last night).when I signed up for the membership I debated it figured it'd just be another old site / gun forum if it would really be worth it or not. I'll say I already think it was worth it and will be looking for more ways to support.
To those that have already helped me out and given advice already. Thank you
 
Same thing happened with me. I started to engage, found that there’s a massive amount of info and tribal knowledge here. I’ve made multiple new friends, a new community, received and given help.
I do not do social media, and have talked all sorts of trash about FakeBook, Insta, etc. My family now returns the trash talk because of CFF.
After a couple years, my wife now periodically wants me to ask the Hive Mind for info.

Sounds like me I don't do the social media either so far just seems like a good group of people I don't expect that much this day an age. I'm sure there's some out there but I ain't met one yet

We definitely get some knuckleheads, especially since Armslist went to ‘pay to play’.

so the trick now is to find something your wife needs/wants done, and have folks here make sure it happens.

There has been a time or two I take my wife to something she likes and she's all "how did YOU hear about this?" and I'm like "oh, my people on the gun website were talking about stuff"
it doesn't even have to be true.. just give CFF credit for some good stuff, get a free pass to keep browsing.
 
The roots to this band of misfits started back in 2008 and two websites ago. The knowledge base here goes deep, very deep into just about anything you could ever want to know.

These folks would give the shirt off their backs if needed. Stick around, make some friends, share your knowledge and be part of this community. There are members in just about every county of both Carolina states.

Here, giving a man's word means something. Deals have been made where the payment and the item sold meet in transit because of both men's word was their bond.

We may argue about cool whip and Dukes mayonnaise but all is in jest. Like others have said, you may catch some he'll from the wife about the time you spend on here but it's worth it to be part of such a great community.

I will say that between the collective knowledge of people on the forum I had a good many questions asked and answered decisevily over the years.
