There could be a “popular revolt,” if the Supreme Court blocks some kinds of gun control legislation, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said Sunday.

“If the Supreme Court eventually says that states or the Congress can't pass universal background checks or can't take these assault weapons off the streets, I think there's going to be a popular revolt over that policy,” Murphy, an outspoken gun control advocate, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

“A court that's already pretty illegitimate, is going to be in full crisis mode,” Murphy added.

One part I will agree with him is that the govt, including the courts have crossed into illegitimacy. Apparently, though, he's got his depends in a wad over a recent "ruling" that said prohibiting 18-21 year olds from buying guns was a constitutional violation. Still, I would love to know what this stupid democrat turkey thinks is going to happen with his popular revolt?

Funny how he is okay with “popular revolt” over gun control, but it is terrorism and insurrection when it is over voter fraud.

The "left" does not play by the rules. As long as we continue to play as though the rules were still in effect, we will lose.

There is a reason our government is set up the way it is.
 
They left "European Americans" out of that banner that calls for liberty for ALL working people. Perhaps those people under the banner who seem to be of European ancestry have never worked and think people the same color as they are never work. I suppose they want freedom for everybody except themselves and other people of their race.

The start with “working people” so obviously they intend to marginalize the poor and disabled.

I think a popular revolt sounds like a guy taking an aluminum baseball bat to a congressman’s staffers, when the congressman was out feeding his face.
They took two for the Gipper. Too bad he didn’t get to pound the stuffing out of the Dimwit congressman 🤦🏻‍♂️

This is struggling to catch on because a lot of the working people see that the movement is led by academics, media, corporations, and a lot of liberal white people that don't seem to work much. The western marxist movement is top down. Which is why it's struggling at the lower levels except where you have large numbers of near brain dead young people.

My boss was saying that her daughter didn’t learn to read cursive in school and asked why would they need that today, anyway? I responded, “to be able to read things like the founding documents, Declaration of Independence, federalist/antifederalist papers, etc.” she asked, “why would you need or want to do that?” Not sure if she’s serio or not.
