Definitely a scam site. They offer a Glock 18 for just over $500. I'll take a dozen...lol. and their payment methods? Zelle, apple pay, and Google pay. That's the dead giveaway!

Given how many are popping up daily this is going to be a long thread. I'll copy over the ones I found in the other thread when I get back home to a computer vs the phone.

huusk.com - I was in the market for some nice kitchen knives and their ad magically appeared in ads on gmail. I ordered a knife and a sheath for around $50.00 from them and they started spamming the heck out of me. They charged my card in December. It's almost the end of Feb and nothing has showed up. It prompted me to do a little research and I found out that they are definitely a scam outfit and a lot of complaints are they charge your card multiple times. I cancelled my card and un-subscribed from their email list. I got a call from their customer service department to see how I was enjoying my knife - I told her what happened and the spam quit and I lost $50.00 and learned a lesson. Sorry to be so long winded but just wanted to get this out there.

For this to work well, someone will need to edit the original post so that they add the entries as the are reported.

This is an update - The knife finally arrived. Says it's from Japan but the quality doesn't look like it. They claim it's super sharp - it isn't. It's a cool looking but clunky not very useful knife. Definitely wasn't worth the money or the hassell.

Here's another one: winchesterarmory.com

Cryptocurrency seems to be the dead giveaway. And everything in stock. And only been registered since September 2021.

Won’t this thread just provide more google hits and therefore more visibility to the scam site in search results?

I’m no pro on search but compiling a list of scam sites on a site not meant for such seems like it could be counterproductive.

How about this one: Ginex SPP $95 per 1000, min order 5000, shipping included. Takes standard credit cards.

That one looks legit but has a bunch of red flags for me.

First the URL is piggybacking off of mailchimp.com, a email marketing company. When you click "shop now" it takes you to 2awarehouse.com - which based on reviews seems to be a legit business in TX, but the reviews are both good and bad.

The initial URL has capitalcartridge.com in it, but unless 2awarehouse and capitalcartridge are the same company it confuses me.

Those red flags would be enough to keep me away legit or not.

I understand your concern, but I'd say it helps identify them. When I started searching for the initial scam URL's it was search results from sites like this that clued me in. Fortunately we're just reporting that the websites in question are scams for sure, the places I found were people that had been scammed and were complaining after the fact. I'd say that's one in the win column for us and anybody who finds this thread while searching for those URL's while doing their own due diligence.

That is an interesting one. The Mailchimp thing is normal. @ulflyer posted a link from an email sent through mailchimp. As for 2Awarehouse vs Capital Cartridge, it seems that Capital Cartridge and Grizzly Cartridge are brands used/created by 2Awarehouse for their ammo products. The site seems legit and they claim to be an @AmmoSeekMike certified retailer.

I’d move this behind the pay wall so as not to be linked to these places in search.

BTW, search for Small Pistol Primers for sale and pretty much anything showing in stock for less than $125 that doesn’t take a credit card is a scam site. Likely 92 of the first 100 hits.

Got a UPS shipping nr today from Capitol Cartridge for the SPP primers I ordered. FYI, found a recent thread on High Road forum where a number of folks have ordered from them for several years with no issues. Certainly seems on the up and up.

@ulflyer How did your capitol cartridge order end up working out? Further, how about the ginex primers?

No problem. Somehow or another they seem connected to 2A which is in the same general area as Capitol.

I'm satisfied with the Ginex. Have used in 380 and 9mm and they loaded in my Dillon as well as any, and all have gone bang. I will say I've prob shot less than 200 so far.

Dead giveaway because you don’t need a FFL and their payment methods where Zelle, apple pay, and Google pay but now they change it to debit card

Optics Planet has a habit of selling things they don't have in stock.
Optics Planet sent me a case of tumblers instead of one tumbler. I tried to do the right thing by letting them know and wanting to ship them back the rest, and then I get a crappy email back telling me that they wanted to charge me for all of them. NO, you need to send me a prepaid shipping label so I can fix your mistake.

I had something similar happen with Primary Arms and they were awesome about it. Even sent me some swag for being honest.

Too late now but you have 120 days to dispute a charge on any card.

I’ve never had any issue with Optics Planet. Hear people having issues but I haven’t experienced that. They will price match competitors as well, so that is good. Plus just $49 to get free shipping.
Neither have I, I think we need to separate "somewhat badly run" places from allout scammers.
