You aren't kidding. So much so I've almost given the genre up. So much of it is too depressing to consider.

This 4 book set was pretty good. I really liked a few of the characters. Might not be tooo realistic but it was a fun Read.
Oh sweet, that's by the same guy that did the Extinction Cycle series. I like his stuff and will def buy this set to read.

I recognize that name. Wasn't he pretty active at SurvivalBlog as well? And didn't he pass away a few years back?
