Work on the Miniguns daily. This gunner fires a 4 sec burst (50rds a sec= 200 rds)I would love to have either of them, one of my bucket list objectives is to go to Knob Creek and shoot several of the WW2 full auto guns, the MG42 and the US Mini Gun are at the top of my list but the list is very long, I mean who doesn’t want to shoot an M2 .50 at some point in their life?

MP40s are controllable, easy to squeeze single shots off, easier to get cheap ammo and more ergonomic and compact. The PPSh 41 while it has a fixed wooden stock (no wobble), drums have to be hand fitted to each gun (slowed production done during WWII), drums are finicky and slow to reload. Supposed work better with PPSh43 stick mags better and they don't interfer with your support arm during shooting. Never found any of the stick mags only drums in Iraq.
Those sound like the same arguments against the 1928 Thompson's drum magazines, or the P08's for that matter. In fact, correct me if I am wrong but isn't the magazine in the PPSh 41 closer to the trigger than in the Thompson's?
