Prayer request

Prayers for a successful surgery friend. Sorry you are so far away in this predicament. Anything I can do for you at the house let me know. I’d like to help you out while you are down. You have my number.

I'm in Salt Lake City, Utah and about to have surgery for my left ACL, which was damaged while skiing. I would appreciate your prayers for the surgery and the days following.

Prayers going up Matt. God Bless the surgeons hands and hope you have a quick healing!

I’ll say a prayer for you and tell you I’m jealous in a major way at the same time. 😂

Skiing out west with no ice like we have over here on the east coast slopes is as sweet as granny’s molasses.

Hope you heal up well sir.

Prayers sent

Many thanks folks, I came through the surgery just fine and am now on the mend. I really appreciate your thoughts and prayers, because I know God hears and cares deeply about them.

Hoping all goes well and your ski career is not over.
Helluva way to end a vacation.

On the brighter side, I did get plenty of rest and relaxation though, so still a win in my book.

Remember that towel that's rolled up and under your knee cap.

Nuff said!

Absolutely, right on and much appreciated brother!

I appreciate it, if anything comes up you'll be the first to know.

I came through it very well, really and truly appreciate the prayers for the surgeon, he's a brilliant doctor but he's only human.

Thanks! Actually it was an icy patch that ate my lunch for me, the ski accident was on Monday morning. Tuesday night and Wednesday night both dropped fresh powder on the slopes for my traveling companions, said snow conditions were never better in the two days after I was out of commission. I lived vicariously through them while they enjoyed themselves. That first run was absolutely brilliant though, and I'll definitely be coming back at the end of the year.

Prayers for a speedy recovery. Many an ACL has been lost on the slopes.

Very true, the term my surgeon used was "factory", he does a great many ACL reconstructions.

My case is statistically less frequent, the ligament didn't detach, a bone fragment detached from the top of my tibia. Surgery and recovery are a matter of the bones fusing back together.

I'm glad it all went well. I hope you have a complete recovery!

Hang in there and hope you can make it back home soon

Thanks! I came through surgery really well and am at home recovering nicely. I'm on my feet, albeit in a brace. I'll rest for a couple of weeks and begin physical therapy thereafter. I really appreciate all you folks who are still praying for me, I'm having very minimal difficulty with all this, a telltale sign of answered prayer.

Glad to hear surgery went well, hope the rehab and healing goes as well.

My son drove to Crested Butte Mountain Resort, Colorado skiing during the blizzard this weekend. Drove from east Kansas.

Went up 11,000 feet to the double black diamond on a snowboard. Said he had never been so terrified in his life. Place is filled with narrow shutes between boulders and evergreens. They had over two feet of snow while he drove and was snowing while skiing. That did not look like fun to me.
