Prayers please; surgery tomorrow

Well, going to the range tomorrow. Left hand only; .22, .380 and .40 in that order; if anything feels off I'll stop.

Been doing some left hand draw and slide manipulation. Racking the slide on a table edge etc is quite the fine motor skill. Hope the wife doesn't see the TV tray edge...

So... doctor visit went well; out of the sling. Physical therapy starts for real tomorrow.

Doing great so far. Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement.

Thanks most of all to God for healing mercies.

Thanks for the prayers. 10 weeks out and pt is going well. Adding reps or weights every week and starting more function based exercises.

Almost all the range of motion I had before injury and no stabbing pain; stiffness and achy. If it doesn't get much better than this I am ahead of the game. Therapist thinks things are ahead of schedule and hopes for complete recovery, or close anyway.

Glad I had the surgery.

That's great dude!

Well, time for an update.

Right shoulder is doing well. Range of motion is great. Pain level is good; some general achyness and a bit more with fatigue after exertion. Strength is 70% or so; not progressing as fast as I hoped.

Unfortunately, the strain on the left shoulder has caught up with me. Messed something up and it hurts like the dickens. Doctors visit and xrays; went to my surgeon and he said it's time.

Preop appointment tomorrow; surgery soon if all goes well. Not going to go through a year and a half of steroids, injections, and physical therapy first. Very similar to the right in symptoms. I have slightly more use of the left than I did preop with the right, but a heck of a lot more pain.

I guess the TL;DR is gotta have surgery on the other shoulder so asking for more prayers.

Thanks for your attention and prayers.

Damn dude,
First paragraph was great! But remember it's been less than a year. It takes time.
I think you're doing great with your shoulder recovery.

The rest not so much.
Hate the other one is jacked up.
Surgeons will try to surgeon and I hope it really does need it, and I'll pray that you come out of this chapter better than ever.
Keep the faith!

My surgeon is great; he did the exam and said it was up to me; if I wanted to do therapy and the "non-invasive " route first he was fine with trying it. My GP examined it, and having seen the other one through the process, thought it probably would be a candidate for the cutter. It isn't as bad limit-wise as the right was but if I use it much I REALLY pay for it for the next day or so. The heck with that; I had great results last time and I'm willing to roll the dice again.
I just have to be careful during this recovery to NOT repeat the cycle on the right . . .

Lol
Thanks for the prayers.

We do get impatient! Take it slow

Well, tomorrow is the day for the left shoulder. Please put in a good word with the man upstairs if you would. My wife could use prayers; along with me, her mom is with us now so she has both.of us to look after.

Thanks in advance.
