Plan to use it for @1 a month 3 gun during the season. I'm a middle of the pack shooter at best and I don't see me carrying it, so I don't want to spend a fortune. 3 or 6 MOA? Red or green?

Tough question. I like my 6moa romeo1pro and I like my trijicon rmr06's which is 1, 2 or 3moa. 6moa is really good and easy to pick up fast. I use my rmrs on rifles and not pistols. I use red and green. Green bursts more for me and my astigmatism but not too bad. I would go to a gunshop and put hands on before i bought.

I'd probably give the Swampfox Justice a shot at around the $200 price mark in the reticle of your choice.

Hm.

Vortex Venom 6MOA is often $90 off with 'code' at PSA, making it around $160.
Combination of battery life, size, warranty, durability, quality ... and price ...

... I also strongly consider how many activities that Vortex sponsors and supports.
That matters a lot, to me.

Also a good choice, I just didn't know if the Prodigy came with an adapter plate for Docter/Noblex cut.

The holosun’s recommended would be a great choice. Also if the doctor/noblex pattern is an optic for your gun, I would take a look at this. I’ve been running one for about 1000 rounds on my Canik rival and now put it on a Pic mount to sit on top of my Rossi lever gun. It’s been going strong and hasn’t given me any issues. Looks to be put together very well and the features are nice. Also is you can qualify for a professional program discount it’s about 30 bucks cheaper than what’s shown on the link. That’s a hell of a deal for this optic.

PSA routinely puts the Holosun 407A3 on sale at 200 or less, and they're fantastic even at full msrp.

I personally prefer 2 or 3moa and red, but eyes are such a tricky and strange thing.

I also prefer the 3 moa. I have one 6 moa dot and it's fine within 15 yards, but at distance it is a little too "obvious" IMO.
