Red dots for astigmatisms

Im looking to getting another pistol soon and I'm red dot curious. I have a small astigmatism and get the star burst effect. Any recommendations or just don't worry about it?
For me, it’s not bad with handgun optics that have a circle ⭕️ and dot. I have holosun 507C X2

I hate the single dot on a rifle where I’m trying for a more specific shot placement. I don’t know which dot to sight in on since I see the “star” 😂

If you are not wearing corrective lenses, you ARE wearing safety glasses while shooting, right?

Meaning, you could get the astigmatism fixed in the lenses of the shooting glasses.

Then you could get any red dot you wanted.

I have the same condition. I have not addressed it with corrective eyewear yet. I have 11 red dot sights, holosun, Burris, vortex etc. for some reason the ade rd3-0012 model that I get on amazon for about $100 does not starburst for me. Its a clear red dot. know it’s a cheap non combat reliable platform, but I have 3 of them. Zero faults or failures

On a rifle go with a prism to (mostly) negate astigmatism. Vortex Spitfire or similar should give you a crisp reticle.
On a pistol a very good option is as mentioned above, a circle style "dot". I run Holosun 507Cx2 in both red and green with good results.

This
I use the Vortex Spitfire AR for exactly this reason.
Also, it works (in non illuminated black) without batteries or when off.

Reminder if two or more years since your last eye exam, please schedule one, easy to correct any problems or treat them before they get out of hand.
