the banana peel is too perfect, almost like the barrel was scored before the stunt. Of course, i've never witnessed a barrel do that, so i have no real basis to judge on.

They are all scored, on the inside. all the pics ive seen follow the rifling

I've seen them like that before. Jamming a potato onto a barrel isn't any different than having a rifle fall into mud or dirt muzzle first, getting the bore plugged, and the peeling like that when the owner tries to shoot the plug out. Plenty of cases like that have been documented and photographed over the years.

Not to say they couldn't have set this up, but it could have been an accident and happened just as shown.
