ATF has gotten very picky about what they consider to be "suppressor parts" and what is raw materials. Threaded tube (like a flashlight) . Suppressor parts! Freeze Plugs> Suppressor parts!
So the conventional wisdom is to feed ATF the minimal information on what you're planning to build and what you plan to use to build it. "I have puchased no parts, and will purchase no material until my Form 1 is approved" seems to be the workable strategy. They also seem to now want a diagram.
Of course someone on Reddit has to try the most absurdly uninformative "diagram" just to give it a spin @ ATF.
This actually got approved:

Another poster alleged cheating by using a ruler, and supplied his own version of the mechanical drawing (also approved).
There's a certain beauty in realizing all this crap is filling up file/computer space in ATF headquarters.....
