Is there any good local reel repair folks in the Burlington area? I was told that Bass Pro has a mail in repair and tune up service, but the reels I have are not current models. I mainly want to keep them running for my wife since they were my father in law's. They haven't been used in 10-15 years at least.

What kind of reels and what if any problems do they have?

3 are spinning reels. A Penn 4300SS, Penn 4200SS, and a Zebco Micro. Not as concerned about the Zebco. The bails aren't flipping when you start to retrieve, and the 4200 has a terrible clicking sound. The Zebco just seems to not want to do much of anything, haven't troubleshot anything on it yet. The 4300 just seems to need some TLC, and I am the breaker of things so I haven't dove into trying to fix or lube anything yet.

There is also a Penn Level-Wind casting reel that seems to need some TLC and it seems like my FIL had taken it apart at some point as there guide doesn't seem to move when you go to reel. Again, breaker of things here and I have almost zero experience with casting reels anyways. If anyone thinks it is cost prohibitive to repair then I'll work on them myself. I can add pictures tomorrow.

Coastline Service Center in Goldsboro. My dad had sent several to them years ago. They have doing repairs for about 40 years.

I will vouch for Coastline. When I started business in 1985 I used them quite a bit for parts. No telling how many thousands of bucks they made off me. I was still using them when I closed the shop in 2005.
