Hi everyone!
What are some good tips on how to tell if a firearm metal has been refinished? I've got my eye on an old WWII era pistol with what appears to me an exceptional blued finish from pictures online, and it makes me just a bit leery.
I imagine refinishing will somewhat adversely affect the collectible value of a firearm. Is there any rule of thumb for how much this will detract from this aspect?
