I'm sure it's been asked a time or two before, but my search didn't easily find anything. So I figured I'd ask a few questions here. After being on back order for, literally, a full year, I've finally got a set of 357 sig dies on the way. I've heard they can be "fun" to reload. I get that. My question is mainly, "Will any .355 flat nose bullet work"? I intend to use CFE Pistol.

Just curious, but what are you shooting it out of @clay_fv? The cartridge always seemed interesting to me, but the pistols that shoot it seem a bit rare these days.

Any of your 40S&W glocks will convert with a drop in barrel. I know I was bemoaning the 9x25 as a pain to load, but 357sig is easy. I have an extra G23 conversion barrel right here.... no reason for you not to take it up.

I've been shoving random 9mm bullets into 357sig for a while. I don't have my old load data, but here's what I've done recently. Using 90gr XTPs just to make them go fast (wanted to hit 1700fps just for fun) and making some plinking loads out of berry's plated 115gr and 3N37 because I had that on hand. They've all worked well out of a converted G23 and a poly80 actually 'built' to be a 357sig with a 4.5" barrel.

All of my .40 Glocks have been gone for years. 😔

Glock 33. If I can successfully reload for it, I'll probably buy another 357 sig at some point (in more a more full size); but 9mm has come so far, I think I will most likely just enjoy reloading an odd caliber.

M&P 40 can be converted with a drop-in barrel as well.

One negative thing I have heard about the 357sig round is that when shot from a blow-back design (PCCs for instance) the firing tends to stretch the case and work harden the brass, or split necks. Most pistols, however, are locked breech and don't have that problem.

There is a (gunsmith) member here who has built custom 357sig ARs, maybe he can out himself and chime in with some data on that.

I put a Sig factory .357Sig barrel in my P229.
