ReyCon is an up-and-coming training company with a heart for educating the general public. We pride ourselves on our ability to relate to and provide state-of-the-art defensive classes relevant to today's threats and unpredictable events. Current events here in the US and abroad have presented new challenges concerning our personal and professional safety. The recent terrorist and shootings in Paris, San Bernardino, local theaters, schools, shopping malls, and public gatherings show the need to prepare and protect yourself and your family. Events such as these, and the current political call to control firearms, have caused a buying frenzy by the general public. It's the right of every law-abiding citizen to keep and bear arms. Unfortunately, the education needed to properly and safely handle and use a firearm for protection seldom comes with purchasing a firearm. Being prepared and educated is not only your right; it's your responsibility!

George Washington:
A free people ought not only to be armed but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite.

Just a few statements from the Chief Law Enforcement
LA County Sheriff's Department:

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva vowed Wednesday to expand concealed carry permits amid skyrocketing crime after revealing a staggering 95 percent increase in homicides in 2021 when compared to the same period last year.

Sheriff David Clark Milwaukee County Wisconsin:

A sheriff who released a radio ad urging Milwaukee-area residents to learn to handle firearms so they can defend themselves while waiting for police said Friday that law enforcement cutbacks have changed the way police can respond to crime.
In the 30-second commercial, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. says personal safety is no longer a spectator sport.
"I need you in the game," he says.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey Brevard County Fla:

"The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. If you're a person who is legally licensed to carry a firearm, now is the time, more than ever, to realize that you – and you alone – may very well be the first line of defense for you, your family and others around you in a terrorist or active shooter-based scenario.
"I have always had absolute faith in our citizens to partner with us to help protect our community."

I’ll reply to this thread, since it’s the one y’all started:

Can the Tactical Pistol class be shot from concealment? If so, any restrictions on the type of concealment?

I have shoulder mobility issues that make strong side draws uncomfortable over an extended range day, so I carry and shoot primarily from appendix as much as possible (and have for the past 11 years). Thanks!

What do you do at matches? Don’t you shoot a ton of those?

A typical six or seven stage USPSA match only has four draws at minimum of a half hour apart (usually more), and I can shoot a drop-offset holster. The rest are table and barrel starts.

For IDPA, I tend to avoid it because of the holster restrictions, but even then, it’s a draw every thirty or forty minutes.

Training is usually a lot of reps on a hot line.

Our pistol course are for everyday use. If you want to shoot from a full battle rig or from concealment it is up to you. The techniques apply to either in most cases or require minimal modification. As long as the holster and firearm are serviceable and safe and you are safe then it would be fine.

Only real limitation on holsters are no serpa like holsters (safety issues with the retention) and no cross draw, small of the back or shoulder holsters as you would typically flag other shooters on the line.

Signed up for October 16. Looking forward to it.

Trying to take my wife to the tactical carbine class on NOV 13th. Still some slots to fill, sign up so we can have enough to do this thing!!!
