$500 initiation fee. Background check you have to pay for. Plus regular dues of $240. Plus 20 hours volunteer time.
Then you'll have to do a mentorship, supervised shoots, and qualification shoots.
I joined pre-covid last year. Shutdowns really boogered up the process as they kept taking members on but couldn't qualify them on ranges. They've finally put a hold on new membership until February or March. Hopefully they'll get all caught up on qualification backlog beforehand.
The RSO guys are decent in my experience. If you're catching flak it's because you earned it.
Like any club, there's going to be persons in powerful positions who maybe irritate you, regulations you might think excessive ( or not), and orginizational politics. Whatever.
It's a very nice facility. Separate indoor pistol range access once you qualify. That's state of the art. Overall it's worth it and you can be as involved or not as you choose. It's a bunch of hoops to join and get established, but from there on it's not a big deal.
