This book was a Christmas gift. It was over sixty years ago that I first read it. I got much, much more out of it this time. While a novel, it's an excellent treatise on guerilla warfare and the determination of a man with a rifle. I highly recommend it.

Belatedly, I received a second C S Forester book, The Gun (thank you USPS). This is another novel which takes place during the Peninsular Campaigns. Another no nonsense book.
