Hello all,

The other day I took a few group photos of my suppressors together. Today I was going through my camera roll and saw the photos and for the first time, something stuck out to me. I saw what looked like a end cap strike on my Silencerco Warlock. This made for a long day at work till I got home. Baffles and all were completely fine, but since ATF considers end caps for Warlock spare part, I have to send it back in to be replaced. I have no clue how or when this happened. I have about 8 rimfire hosts and switch all my rimfire suppressors between them. I took the last two pistols I remember using this one on and put a few magazines through each pistol before I boxed it up to see if I saw any additional wear. I feel confident it wasn't the can getting loose. I did have a crappy batch of no name standard velocity I ran through it recently. Could it be purely ammo related? I am concerned I get it back fixed and have same thing happen again but all my hosts have seen extensive use with 5 rimfire cans and this is a first. Any ideas? Strike looks weird to me, how about you?

Thanks in advance
Jason

Do you have anything to measure the diameter of that hole?

I swear that round had to hit a baffle before striking the nose cap ... that strike is just too off center.

Anyway, I’d check the concentricity of your suppressor to bore. I do it by using a bore sight laser and placing a piece of white paper over the end cap of the mounted suppressor to make sure the little red dot is centered.

I can buy different end caps for my Omega on-line from several sources. Why is the Warlock different?

Neat, but I was trying to figure out why the OP couldn't replace the end cap without having to send in the whole can for service? He says, "ATF considers end cap spare parts" and remarks that requires being sent in.
And I posted the answer. :p

End caps for the Omega are not silencer parts because they can also be used on the ASR brake.

The Warlock has no equivalent device for alternate uses. Ever silencer I know of that has end caps available has an alternate use device, even if it was never made available to the public.

Maybe the suppressor was loose with really slow ammo? SilencerCo will have it on its way back to you within a couple days after they receive it.
Ask for a shipping label also when you get the RMA #

Hi all,

The silencer is on its way back to Silencerco. I didn't ask for a label but it wasn't expensive to ship so I am not sweating it. I usually am very careful with making sure suppressors are tight after each magazine so I don't know if that was it. I triple checked the baffles and nothing. I took last two pistols I shot with this suppressor and took out in backyard and put a couple magazines through each to see if I saw any more wear or damage before I shipped it off and nothing. To me, the damage looks too small in diameter to be a .22 round but I can't come up with any other ideas. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Still haven't heard back from Silencerco and its going on two weeks. I was hoping for a quick turn around since a end cap swap was all that was required but in the end, even 2-3 weeks turn around in the gun industry should be considered pretty good. I don't want to call and bug them but may if I don't hear back by end of the week.

You should call them for sure. 3 business days is normal for repair time. I would call or email today.
