RIP Wahoo95

Eddie used to do a lot of group buys on one of the previous forums. I still have some powder and primers that he did a group buy on.

He was a great guy and will be missed.

Anyone have contact info for his family to see if they need anything?

RIP Eddie AKA Wahoo95.

I saw the info about his passing on Facebook a couple of hours ago and was shocked at the news so I reached out to a mutual friend and he confirmed that he had in fact passed.

Eddie and I didnā€™t always see eye to eye about a few social issues, but he was always respectful and willing to have a conversation about things, Iā€™ll miss that about him for sure.

Wow. Hard to believe. He has a young family, or maybe they are teens now. Eddie was one of the most knowledgeable and helpful members to me when I was new in this community.

He had been to my house before. Did a Hackathorn-Vickers class with him and the safety team from his church several years ago.

Rest in Peace Wahoo95

We have received word from various sources that Wahoo95 passed away suddenly. He was a long time member and friend to many. Always willing to share his knowledge with the forum.
He was -at one time- in the finance business for "excess and surplus" coverage in insurance. We never could talk much business when he came by, he was so amiable, so kind hearted and easy to talk with. I lost contact with him when I sold my biz, or at least regular contact with him.

He was a class A guy. Happy trails

Holy Cow! I am stunned, to say the least. He's one of the folks that I hold in very high regard. We shot a match together at DPRC years ago; I recall that John Boyette was the RO.

Damn, I am greatly saddened about this.

If anybody knows the funeral info, etc, please post it. I'd like to send a note to his family.

Agreed.

There's already a post up.

Eddie and I exchanged a lot of tips about grilling and smoking. We'd send each other pictures of our latest masterpiece. Like me, Eddie was a big fan of the Weber grills. RIP, Eddie.

I am so sorry to hear this. I never met Eddie in person but he gave me some great advice for helping a young man, a schoolfriend of my daughter who had been dealt a bad hand, born into a hard situation. Eddie would be so incredibly proud of what that young man has made of his life, now in the Air Force and traveling the world.

This is a terrible loss.

I have his cell number, an email, and an address. Donā€™t know if it was his current one or if heā€™s moved in the last couple years.

I texted the cell earlier today offering our condolences and said Iā€™d be glad to help with any firearm issuesā€¦especially considering he has NFA items.

Heā€™s one of the few members here that has been inside my house and Iā€™ve been inside his.

Wahoo was the reason I got into building Ugly Drum Smokers. We talked a lot about smoking meat. He called me on Christmas morning a few years ago and talked me through prepping my first prime rib to smoke. Hadnā€™t talked to him in a long time. Rest in Peace
