Road Rage Shooting in Moorsville

Pink, I get it, it's your buddy, but do you see him at any fault for following the guy and exiting car?

This, honestly Right now we are only getting one side of the story. The shooters side of the story might shoot some holes in the narrative we currently have been told. I personally can't believe the guys wife didn't get a plate number or anything to help law enforcement. It just sounds like there is WAY more to the story.

Yup, I numbered items in the first post. His pain, wife and self talk will be enough to bash him over the head, I’m not adding more here.
From OP:
1)- Don’t follow the schmuck, just get a tag #/dashcam video
2)- Don't get out of the car
3)- Don't let your adrenaline/rage beat you, it's not worth it

Not really, no one I know has ever went 'road rage' on a Highway Patrolman nor on anyone else while a officer is present. There are those that just care less about anybody and only when the authorities are present do they present themselves as civil, freedom for all is only valid when it is shared with responsibility.

It is very closely the same.

Red Flag Laws: Someone doesn't like you having guns. One call and you get a FORCED visit by the LEO, guns are gone until you go through the courts, no proof required.
Big Red Button in Car: Someone had a bad day didn't like you passing. One push and you're FORCED to visit the LEO, license under suspension until investigation is completed, no proof required.

Again, if almost any of you had been followed yall would have behaved the same.
Dude followed him, got out of car, and approached.
Many on here would have fired.

Both did stupid things, but I have little sympathy for the friend. Hope he lives, but bummer

Fired at a dude approaching the car? Many?

Wow.

Hold up, make sure you put the part in where someone was following them too.

Again, I can direct you to a thread not long ago where a man's daughter was possibly being followed (yeah, a car was behind her, was she being followed or was it coincidence?), and the guy was waiting with guns ready. And MANY posted how he did the right thing.

So, yeah, many.

Oh. I see what you did. My bad.

Carry on.

LOL no big deal man. I was just wondering what I said different than you basically.
Buddy, it's been a long COLD day.
Got to work at 655, and left at 640. From 330 till 615 I was outside standing around. It started to drizzle on top of the fierce wind up on the hill. Cold.
Im tired

Did the right thing in the sense of “being alert”, “having her go home while less than 5 min away”, “NOT shooting anyone”...

He didn't do the right thing by telling her to go home. Go to the PD or FD or somewhere with lots of people. Don't lead some crazy dude to your house so that he then knows where you live.

I too when young had a guy force me off the road multiple times because he didn’t like the speed I was driving after stopping at a light (diesel pickup is slow). I followed him to a gas station and got out. He put his truck in reverse and tried to crush me into a gas pump. After I dove to the opposite side of the pumps he drove off. There were no cellphones at that time nor cameras easily used. Lack of fear almost got me killed.

You never know what is going on in a person’s life when they react irrationally on the road. They may have just loss their kids in a divorce or had a death in the family that has them hating their life. Let it go. Move on.

Never ever go back to the house where they can know where you and the family live. Advise your kids and spouse to find a heavily crowded place or go to a police station if it’s close. Always call 911 and give them your route and put your hazard lights on to identify the police that it’s you.

Got a question. Did he hit the pump when you dramatically dove out of the way? I hear about assault by vehicles all the time where the driver of the assault vehicle never left their lane or hit anything. Those people just aren't trying hard enough or the people reporting things are going for the academy award for drama.

I hope your life gets better.
