Ultimate Dah.

The Supreme Court allowed the case against Remington to go forward based on one solitary claim that’s going to be difficult for plaintiffs to prove in court; that Remington’s advertising and marketing somehow inspired the mass murderer in Newtown, Connecticut to commit his atrocities.

For Baltimore to pursue similar litigation against gun manufacturers, they’d have to show that gang members and drug dealers wreaking havoc in the city have all been inspired by the advertising of gun companies. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been tempted to engage in a drive-by or kill someone in a drug deal because of an advertisement I saw in Guns & Ammo.

The SC opened the floodgates on these frivolous lawsuits by not taking the CT Sandy Hook lawsuit. A lot more to come.

I *think* (I know, that's dangerous....) SCOTUS sent it back (to CT) on some technicalities. I don't *think* they outright said they would not eventually hear it. IF that's how I recall it, then (especially the Republican) justices were right to ensure everything got litigated at the lower level; when and if it goes back to SCOTUS, it'll be because everything got done the right way in the lower courts.

I believe you are right but I am impatient :)

What’s next ... people who are robbed at gunpoint can sue gun manufacturers?

I dunno ... I've been inspired to much wailing and gnashing of teeth by watching C-SPAN so the claim might have some traction.

/sarc <= just in case.

Then, they should sue Hollywood and gangsta rappers.
My thoughts exactly!! It’s been decades since I’ve watched TV but WTF!!! Last I seen that’s all that was promoted by the rap/hip hop crowd... “death row records” WTF
F$&@#ng liberals
