for years we have not pushed for a new roof even when much of the neighborhood got new ones due to hail damage. more than one storm ago.... so we finally do and their inspector claims no hail/wind damage and manages to take pictures of everything saying all good. ( I did replace a the furnace exhaust cap that was damaged and found in the backyard long ago. )
I have a picture of a vent boot flange that is curling up within 5 feet of where he has marks on the roof level with the flange . His pictures are taken from a position above that hides this fact. My picture is taken from the backyard. Would you say his intentions are fraudulent ?
Soon after the company mentioned non renewal of our policy due to branches in contact with the roof and " clawed/ curling shingles" needing repair/replacement to renew our policy. So I texted them a pic of the curled flange and asked if this was what they were referring to, I asked what would cause that damage, wind? hail? no real answer.
Then they say all is good and we can renew our policy...I feel we are being scammed,
Should I pursue this with a Lawyer?
The houses on both sides of me just had theirs replaced due to storm damage.. All advice is appreciated.
