Match is Saturday 1/14. Check in opens at 9am. Shooters meeting on your first stage at 9:45am. First shot at 10am.
If you would like to guarantee a spot in the match you can-

1)Volunteer to setup. You will receive a code to register early and will have your match fee comped. We have spots for 12 staff members. First come, first served.
2)Be a RCWA range member. When you register be sure to check the box for members.


If you can’t make it, please let us know ahead of time. We don’t mind withdrawals, but don’t take up a slot someone else really wants.

I would be very interested in attending the event and am happy to help set-up. I have only been shooting my Glock at GSSF competitions and not sure what type of pistol I can bring. Anxious to shoot my sig 45. Could you tell me how to sign up since this is my first event with Rowan Practical Shooters? Thank you.

You can bring more or less any safe and functional gun and run a safe and functional holster, including concealed if you prefer. I just ran my regular carry gear for my first several matches, and that worked fine.

I'm so jealous of people who live in the same town as great matches. It's about 1:10 for me to get to Salisbury, and that's the closest USPSA match for me. I finally got to my first Rowan match last month and it was really nice. Doesn't look like I can make January, though.

@Moylan summed it up pretty well. What you shoot is not a big deal for the match. As long as your safe. Use whatever gear you have. Get use to the sport. Get addicted to the sport. Than spend a lot of money on cool stuff.😁

@Dnldmoore74 I found it helpful to review the USPSA rules and guidelines (though a bit overwhelming). I used stuff I cobbled together around the house to shoot Production division. I had to scrounge hard to find a pistol that fit the parameters but I did. Spent around $150 so far to equip a little better for this match but you should be able to pull stuff together easily and relatively inexpensively.

Fellow GSSF shooter and looking forward to meeting everyone again. Everyone I met at the last match was great, easy going but safe. Very enjoyable. Can’t wait for this match.
 
Would I be underfoot if I just came to see the goings-on?
Kinda curious to see how you guys play.. :cool:

I'm gonna plan on that.. I did the benchrest competition ages ago.
I'd like to see how this is.
Gotta be more fun than grown men "spending thousands over thousandths". 😁 :cool:
 
@HawgBonz, I thought so. Not much of a PRS shooter myself but looking at the scores, I think I need to speed up and worry just a little less about accuracy.

Edited to add, just gotta figure out exactly how scoring works. Just haven’t made the time.
