I picked up a Ruger LCP .380 yesterday due to its size and lightweight. It seems like a great pocket carry pistol. The gun store clerk told me that the magazine release is easily swapped for left handers like me. 'Easily swapped' is a relative term. It came apart pretty easily and fortunately for me I spied the little metal spring laying on the mat when it fell out of the frame when I removed the magazine release button. Getting everything back in was the challenge and trying to do it as the manual said was a lost cause for me. I began to think that swapping the magazine release was probably a mistake and then I finally got it back together. I had to resort to an LED headlamp to see what I was doing and various tiny tools to seat and pry the spring so that the button could go in place. Just glad that I didn't manage to break something in the process.

That's my lack of competence confession for today. šŸ˜…

I honestly had no idea you could even reverse the mag release. I'll have to look it up.

Edit: are you talking the original or the LCP Max ?
