Wearing an older Leupold 2-7x scope.

Pretty sweet little rifle. I'm going to try to get a deer with it this year

Very sexy. Is that an aftermarket stock, or does Ruger produce a Mannlicher-style stock?

IIRC that is a stock item and the question is "Did" Ruger produce a Mannlicher stock

I'm not going to lie, I'm jelly.

When I was younger I didn't like the manlicher stocks , now for some reason that opinion has changed, recently I've picked up a couple of 22s, a cz and a 10/22 both with the manlicher stocks, now after seeing this one ,I'm thinking may have to add some more in larger calibers to the collection, very nice rifle 118 CIB

I looked it up a while back....I think it was made in the early 80s. I'll double check

The stock and all the metal are in great shape, and the Leupold, while older in style, is still clear and all the rings and turrets move nicely

tack a paper bag to a stick, set it out 150 yards, see if you can find it in your scope just before dark. If not, upgrade :)

Also if the scope fogs send it back to Leupold. They might send you a new model.

So I love everything about this. The caliber. The stock. The classic scope. This is an old world gem

I'm taking her out to shoot tomorrow

I'll have better pics soon

I am also a fan of the M77 in 243. I miss shooting this one, hasn't been shot in over 8 years. Seeing this thread really makes me want to head to an otdooor range for a few rounds.20170505_092451.jpg

I have allways wanted one of these. I need to get a .243. It is the first time since I was 13 that I don't have one in the safe.

My great uncle gave me that exact rifle when I was 14 yrs. old (1988). I didn't like it the stock then, and I am not a real fan of it now. I killed my first 2 deer with it. It holds a special place in my heart, it will never leave my possession. I just can't warm up to it, it shoots great, and the action is like butter.
