They do come up every once in a while, but Ruger .22 pistols are basically the standard by which all others are measured, so when people get one they are happy with them.
I like mine. I kind of miss the longer barrel of my old Mark II government target. However, I prefer the mag release and the ease of cleaning on the Mark IV. My only gripe is the ambi safety, which can be fixed, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
I liked the thought of it, just like the Single 10. And then I priced them, and went shopping for older used guns less than $250. I haven't looked back since. Although that 22/45 Lite Tacsol keeps calling to me. Guarantee no stock MkIV outshoots my Smith 22A1 though. And I doubt a Single Six or 10 outshoots my H&R 949. So......yeah. got both of those for the price of a Roooga.
