Anyone had any experience with these yet? Curious how they shoot compared to the standard 2.0 metal. Both had very good triggers when dry firing

They look pimp as hell, apparently handle great and are very accurate. I know I want to try one after seeing Honest Outlaw's review on it. His only complaint was that the extended magazine release inadvertently causes mag drops when firing left handed. That's potentially important to note in a competition gun when the match might force you to shoot left-handed on a stage.

Feels good in the hand. Jerry Miculek shot and commented he would be using it in his next competition

Sometimes a person like Jerry might get paid to say something like that, but in this case I believe it. I think it'd be a gun he'd want to shoot in competition whether he was getting paid to do so or not. My next handgun purchase I'm looking at either the S&W 2.0 metal competitor or the Canik SFx Rival-S. Both comparable in price, attributes and performance, and I think they both deliver fantastically on what they mean to give.

Speaking of honest outlaw look at his review of the Girsan Regard MC. Beretta m9 clone. He is obviously a shooter but then i would say so is the gun!😳

Oh yeah. The Girsan M9, Hi Power and 1911 are shockingly good. Yes they're Turkish. But those three pistols and Caniks seem to be the best things coming out of Turkey right now for guns. Honestly I'd be happy to have any of them. May not be a bad way to get into those platforms on the cheap.

It's the first m&p that has caught my eye. I like that they got rid of the fishscale serrations. I'm good with standard ones.

I’ve heard Jerry is super cheap. Likely shoot anything they give him.

Funny to see him at a 3gun match with his basic plastic gun. While everyone else has sweet opens guns that cost 10-20x as much! Only to get beat like a drum by the legend.

Nice. I guess I can't blame him. When he's that good the gun doesn't matter as much as him being on his game does. But then, not wanting to lose that sponsorship is a good enough reason to me lol.

Oh absolutely. Definition of skill trumps gear right there. He knows what he's doing no doubt about it. As long as the gun is reliable and reasonably accurate it stands to reason he'd outperform anyone there. 100% makes sense.

Well, not quite anyone. Lots of top guys in this area. But the people that beat him could also shoot any gun well, too. Like Todd Jarret. Just one example.

I’ve heard he’s gotten ammo from sponsors, only to sell it all and buy Tula!
Gotta do what you gotta do to make a living in this sport! Even a guy like him.
He’s a treasure.

Very true. Jerry may be the reigning champ but that wouldn't stop me from recognizing that the fight at the top is one very capable crowd.

Lol nice. That's pretty funny NGL. I'd love to hear his reasoning behind that, to see if there was more to it than him just being cheap. Maybe some super primo ammo he was given didn't really impress him. But as much as he shoots, and as many rounds as he sends downrange, I could totally see him just running Tula for cost savings as it relates to volume.

He really is. I hope he's as fun and funny to hang out with as he presents himself to be in his videos.

Does anyone know if the Timney competition trigger will work in these? I can fix the grip texture with grip tape, I can spend the money to install the optics height sights these should have come with like the sights the polymer optics models come with, but I don't know yet if I can put a competition trigger in the competition gun.
Great question. That's something I would ask Timney about directly. But I'd love to hear their answer to that for the same reason.

I think he saves the good ammo for stages where it matters. Bay stages and stages with no steel he just shoots the cheap stuff. Smart really.

Him and his wife are even funner and cooler in person. Just downright pleasant people to be around. Very gracious to a scrub fan asking for a selfie. Not that I would know…..
