Salisbury Gun & Knife Show 2/10-11

Well if you'd like to see the Wee Beastie bark, come to Allison Woods on 3/9.

Oh yeah? Didn't see what was listed as the event for that particular day, did I miss it or is The Touching Off -The Event-? Either way I certainly hope I can arrange my attendance :)

Weellllll, we're going to be at the Salisbury show for a number of reasons. First off, it's a pretty good show with military stuff. Second, our competition org needs more exposure, and last, we're publicizing our event-

Headin out to the show.
Will be toting a Beretta AL-390 for tradin' fodder and have Mrs HawgBonz in tow..

I attended. Pretty good crowd I'd say.
The prices were more reasonable than what I've seen recently.
I just like looking
Good crowd. Short on tables. Didn't sell or buy anything. But enjoyed the murmer of a Fun Show. 😁👍

I was impressed, considering what I normally see at the 6-shooter shows of wall-to-wall plastic. Lots of nice old shotguns, lever guns and some older Colts and S&W's. One lady had hundreds or possibly a thousand or so old magazines and grips. She even knew what a wadcutter mag for a S&W Model 52 was, and was able to pick out the lone Unicorn out of a ton of mags. After I cleaned it and replaced the spring, I couldn't find that it had ever been used. It has no drag marks on it. She charged less than $90 for it. My last nice one cost me $185, so I would have bought a few more if she had stocked them. She also had early 60's S&W Model 41 mags with metal followers, noticeably heavier than current mags and much better polish and blue. I took two for $35 each. 😁
Thanks to those who pumped this show a little. Parking was meh, but doable. Quite a feast for Nylon 66 lovers at one table. I figured the guy must have been a Remington salesman, as many like-new models as he had.

We're at the show with the "Wee Beastie". Day 1 was very busy. Day 2, the cannon won't be there but we will. If you are at the show, stop by and say howdy. We won't bite, but black powder is a bit addictive but not so much that we don't shoot modern stuff too. It's just that what we do so soooo much fun.

How is the show on Sunday around 1-2pm usually? I’d like to drive down after church but if a lot are packing up to leave by then I’d rather not make the hour drive….Tks.

From previous experience, since the show closes at 4, you might have a good hour or so before vendors begin closing up.

That’s Barbara I used to work with her long ago. Since she retired they do the shows now. I found an STI magazine there that was made for my Para Ordanance. Real nice lady.

it ain't a six shooters show... no comparison (six shooter's is what it is and serves a purpose of course and I like Joe)

Nylon 66 hoard was also at Statesville last week.

But geeze.. scheduling... we just do not know 'who' was 'first' on date calendar, but it happens time after time and splits vendors, crowd, etc...
know C&E saturates the year with shows and it simply shows over time... 90's-2000's C&E was premier...

yes, mag lady still is stocked.... happy to hear someone found their unicorn.

I was down there today and I believe I met the lady with the mags. She had many and when I asked her if she had a particular mag she knew without looking she didn’t have one. That’s knowing your stock!!
Actually a better show in Salisbury today than Hickory yesterday for me…..
