When I was in 7th grade, the school trip went to D.C. We got the very rare honor of entering SCOTUS while it was in session. SDO had recently been appointed. I remember walking in and seeing the justices looking really bored, head on hands as some “immigrant” was complaining about his rights being violated. When we showed up they became animated and started chatting among themselves. Our presence was more entertaining than the case before them.
