Shooter Lube, yay or nay?

Cousin Jerry brought the "parent" gallon this Sunday and we filled all empties. I am now Break Freed for the remainder of life on this planet.

Hope you run out. ;)

CorrosionX AND Eezox for
rust/corrosion prevention.
Long term storage RIG in bores
Lucas Gun grease

FWIW;
The US NAVY uses CorrosionX on its
Phalanx Gun system!!
I’ve used it for a dozen years and have yet to see it fail... fantastic stuff but pricier than 12 year single Malt Scotch!!
What's "Long term storage RIG in bores"?

The CorrosionX is about the same price as Eezox (I keep on hand for blued weapons) https://smile.amazon.com/s?k=CorrosionX&ref=nb_sb_noss
Is it much different than Eezox?

There’s a gunsmith highly specialized in 3rd generation Smith & Wesson semi’s. He posts frequently in the S&W forum and photos of his work are simply stunning. It seems there’s nothing he can’t build (caliber conversions) and no wear or damage he can’t make completely disappear.

He recently mentioned a dedicated grease he uses on barrel lugs and two wear points on frames (NOT slides). He recommends a poppy seed sized drop on those four points. Apparently this grease is super viscous, stays in place and significantly reduces wear. He pointed out NOT to use this anywhere else on the gun as it will stop the gun from running.

It’s crazy expensive but I found a deal on a lot of 2 oz tubes. I’ll post again after it arrives and I’ve had a chance to try it.

For looser slides (Glock) and sear faces I'll use Bel-Ray marine. Bought a 16oz tub to pack and replace all the suspension/steering and wheel bearings on our 6 dirt bikes. I still have over 1/2 of it left over. It's impressive and has a cling/stringiness that helps it stay in place.

As far as solvents, it is as good as the norm (Shooters Choice in my case). The one real benefit is the lack of smell. I know most of you "he men" use a dab of Hoppe's before you go on a date, but my wife is sensitive to the smell. I have had no complaints of the smell since using Shooters Lube solvent. Happy home = more guns!

Not sure what kinda search history you have, but google never relentlessly presents lube products to me, lol.

KY. Always and forever.
