although you and yours may have already "stocked up", here is the latest:

“It’s crazy,” says Randy Hornbeck, the owner of Standing Rock Farms. His sales this year are already 27% higher than his total for all of last season. “Everybody wants firewood.”

“You can’t get a stove until at least April,” says Lakin Frederick, an employee at the store.

anybody want to figure odds on the percent increase in housefires and smoke inhalation deaths by spring?

Just paid for a central boiler and the wait is couple weeks ! Son sells firewood when he is in from college and I’m sure he has a backlog and not enough split to fill orders so some are listening ! Last heating oil i purchased was 2.09 gal - Price it now 😬

3300 cords of wood sold a year is a good little pile he handles a year

Propane topped off at $1.60/gal in July, 3 cords of oak & hickory split & piled beside the furnace & access to all the dry oak & hickory I care to help cut & split.

this makes the pile of stuff I have to do outside today hard
